We currently have an opening for a PhD student to begin in Fall 2025. Prospective students should have an M2 masters degree in the French system or equivalent foreign masters degree, and will begin by initially completing an Internship Position at the IPhT in Spring/Summer 2025 (https://www.ipht.fr/en/internships-and-phd-thesis/). The PhD position in our group is best suited for students with significant previous experience in solid-state and condensed matter physics, a strong background in mathematics and quantum mechanics, and demonstrated experience with computation analysis and coding (especially working with Python). Applicants should be proficient and prepared to conduct research, write papers, and give seminars in English. Please see the link above for further details of the initial internship position.

We also welcome applications for experienced postdoctoral researchers through the Marie Curie Fellowships Program (https://marie-sklodowska-curie-actions.ec.europa.eu/actions/postdoctoral-fellowships). Please review the details and timeline for the fellowships and reach out if you are interested in applying.

Ben can be found at the Institut de Physique Théorique (IPhT) at Université Paris-Saclay in Office 123.

We can also frequently be found across campus at the Laboratoire de physique des Solides (LPS), where we work most closely with the Mesoscopic Physics (MESO) experimental group.
